Both a museum, an architectural design centre, an archive centre, Europe’s largest library specialising in contemporary architecture and a training centre for urban planners and architects in the heritage sector, the Cité has forged its identity as a meeting place of several disciplines.
Opened in 2007 in the Palais de Chaillot, each year it draws up an impressive event programme aimed both at the general public and professionals, with temporary exhibitions, educational workshops, debates, colloquiums, publishing and the screening of films.
