Accessibility for persons with reduced mobility (PRM) in historic monuments is a challenge for which a number of possible solutions are available. Via a presentation of the latest developments in France’s listed monuments, Guldmann France hopes to increase awareness on the concept and methods involving personalised platforms. A specific development will be presented as an example: foldaway stairs using original materials and enabling the building’s original aesthetics to be preserved whilst offering a dignified entrance for disabled visitors, hitherto neglected by our cultural offer.
