This outstanding romantic-neoclassical building is dedicated to the memory of the royal family. Construction began in 1815 on the orders of Louis XVIII, on the site of a former revolutionary cemetery. In 1793, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette were buried here, but also the Comtesse du Barry, Charlotte Corday or Olympe de Gouges.
